What Is a Differential?

A differential is one of the more obscure parts of a car, so we've included a short explanation here for your convenience.

A differential allows the two halves of your back axle to rotate at different speeds when your car is cornering. This differential tire speed helps you stay glued to the road and safe when cornering at high speeds. If you look to the right, you'll see the inside of a differential we've included as an example.

How Do We Change Your Differential Gear Oil?

How Do We Change Your Differential Gear Oil?

As you can imagine, gear oil changes for your differential are essential to keeping your car driving safely. If you don't change out your differential gear oil regularly, your differential can get noisy and ultimately fail.

When our skilled technicians change differential oil, we remove the oil stopper on the casing to drain the old fluid. Afterward, we'll replace your drain plug and open the filling port to top up your differential's gearbox.

Finally, we'll dispose of the used oil responsibly.
